EDIT ML Program Track: Advanced Research

About Me: As a proud Palestinian, oldest sibling, and community leader, I’ve learned to lead by listening and treating people how they want to be treated rather than projecting my own expectations. This same search for quiet clarity led me to the biological world of computer science, where I can apply my “nerdy” curiosity toward good, honest work for the community. I’m joining EDIT AI to bridge this technical interest with a actual commitment to creating impactful service that will actually matter to people.

Project/Research Interests: I’m fascinated by the intersection of tissue morphology and genetic expression, and specifically how we can use AI to look at molecular data that is invisible to the naked eye. I want to pair this with an exploration of domain-specific LLMs to create more reliable tools for medical research. For me, this is the perfect middle ground between technical curiosity and human-centered problem solving.
