About Me: Hi! I’m Soham Pradhan, and I am a high school student interested in applying machine learning to complex biological systems, particularly in areas like computational pathology and cancer biology. I’m interested in how models can extract meaningful patterns from high-dimensional biomedical data and translate them into clinically useful insights. I enjoy working on problems that combine data analysis, modeling, and real-world impact in healthcare. In honor of my brother, I have created my own app called UnFlutter, which uses AI to allow for personalized speech therapy for people with speech impediments. I play in the orchestra, I’m a soon-to-be Eagle Scout, and second degree black belt. In school, I am the president of my school’s Science Bowl club and I am an executive officer for DECA. I do robotics and I compete at a high-level in USA Computing Olympiad.

Project/Research Interests: I am primarily interested in using machine learning to analyze biomedical imaging and molecular data, especially in the context of diseases like cancer or neurological diseases. I’m particularly drawn to: Neurodegenerative diseases (Ex: Alzheimer’s, ALS, or speech disorders), computational pathology (analyzing histology images), spatial transcriptomics and gene expression data, neuroscience, and multimodal learning. I’m interested in building models that can both predict disease characteristics and help uncover underlying biological mechanisms, including for psychological or neurological disorders.
